Fees and funded hours

Our fees are annualised and charged on a calendar month basis across the year, including periods of closure. We are open Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 6.00pm, for 51 weeks a year.z

Everything is included. Meals, snacks, consumables, specialist teachers, uniform and local trips are all covered by your fee, with nothing extra to buy.

The columns headed 'with meals & consumables' show the total payable once that optional charge begins on 1 January 2027.

Places for children under two are offered by exception and at our discretion, where we can meet the child's needs within our staffing ratios. We are not a general under-two setting.

Minimum Attendance Policy

Children attending part time follow our Minimum Attendance Policy, which sets a minimum pattern for each age group and steps up at the start of each term as your child moves towards school readiness. Progression is contractual and each step is confirmed in writing before it takes effect.

Government funded hours

Your child's funded entitlement is delivered free of charge. We do not charge for the funded hours themselves, and we never ask families to make up the difference between the funding rate and our published fee.

Funded hours are spread across our 51-week year so your entitlement is available consistently, including outside term time. A 15-hour weekly entitlement is delivered as approximately 11.18 hours a week, averaging 47.5 hours a calendar month. A 30-hour entitlement is delivered as approximately 22.35 hours a week, averaging 95 hours a calendar month.

Meals and consumables during funded hours

From 1 January 2027 we will charge for meals and consumables during funded hours only, at £1.25 per funded hour. For a 15-hour entitlement that is £60 a month; for a 30-hour entitlement, £120 a month. Both figures are shown alongside the fees in the tables above.

Your funded entitlement is a proportion of your child's total hours, not a particular part of the day. A full day is ten hours and the meals and consumables in it cost us £12.50, so £1.25 an hour is that same proportion.

These charges are optional. Families who prefer to provide their child's meals and consumables may do so, and the funded place is unaffected either way.

How your fee is calculated

• Our hourly rates vary by age group and by attendance pattern, so children of the same age may be charged at different hourly rates depending on the sessions they attend.

• Monthly fees and funded hour credits are rounded up to the nearest £25, so the amounts shown will not always match an exact hourly calculation.

• The hourly rate does not increase when your child moves from the three-year-old to the four-year-old room. Fees as a whole are reviewed annually and may rise, but moving up an age group is never itself the reason.

• Where a child's pattern changes, or where their published rate changes on moving up an age group, we will write to you before it takes effect.
