Nursery Hours

Morning Session

8.30am - 1.00pm Our environment offers children a rich and stimulating experience with the opportunity to explore and experiment independently. Each day we have the opportunity to interact with the children on a one-to-one basis and give the support that is needed and planned for each child. We offer outdoor play in our garden every day as well as weekly lessons in PE, science, arts & crafts, music & movements. It also includes Song and Dance with Miss Eliza and Karate class with Sensei Ben on Wednesdays. Morning clubs include Cooking, Gardening, Art and Lunch club.

Lunch Club

11.30am - 1.00pm During our lunch club (which we view as central to our curriculum), the children will sit down and eat together with their friends and teachers after a busy morning. It is a splendid opportunity to contemplate and to learn further about healthy eating whilst developing language and communication skills, grace & courtesy as well as sharing and turn-taking. Each day, a 'Helper of the Day' is chosen to help cut fruit and vegetables and pour water and milk. Own packed lunch is required; or a hot, nutritious meal can be provided for an additional fee (we can take into account all dietary requirements).

Afternoon Session

1.00 - 4.00pm The afternoon session is slightly shorter but offers more adult one-to-one interaction in order to help with the ethos of curating a bespoke curriculum for each child. The environment is prepared accordingly to the children’s interests and abilities and gives a rich and stimulating experience with the opportunity to explore and experiment independently too. We offer outdoor play in our garden every day as well as weekly lessons in PE, science, arts & crafts, music & movements. Specialist teachers include Coach Sean's PlayBall in addition to various clubs, such as Cooking, Gardening and Art club.

The Afternoon Sessions are also a chance to extend the day for those children who are ready and hungry for more, especially in preparation for Big School.

Full Days

8.30am - 4.00pm **In order to help us transition the children into Reception, full Days are mandatory in your child’s last term and strongly encouraged in their penultimate term, before Big School. Transitioning will be discussed during the Autumn Term Parent’s Evening and are in line with the Minimum Attendance Policy.

After-School Club

4.00pm - 6.00pm This is an optional club for those parents/guardians who require wrap-around care. The same ethos of our regular day is injected into the structure and activities of this club. For example, all activities are designed to stoke curiosity and imagination while keeping one eye on the pastoral care every child requires. As this club takes place at the end of the day, activities are going to be designed to be fun creating a happy and exciting environment. Parents to send tea from home; or a hot, nutritious meal can be provided for an additional fee (we can take into account all dietary requirements) .
